How to use the Emergency Child Restraint

Head Support – Please place this down first as to where you require where the infant to be placed on the stretcher.

Once you have determined the suitable size restraint for the stretcher please place the body of the restraint on top of the blue material of the head support.

In order to fit to any stretcher, the Emergency Child Restraint uses a hook and loop system to secure it to the frame.

Ensure Bio Safe cot straps are securely tied to the frame of the stretcher.

Once the Emergency Child Restraint is deployed please link to the buckles to secure in place.

Once infant is placed upon the Emergency Child Restraint please secure the shoulder straps into the buckle clip.

Secure the patient by pulling the buckle tabs which tighten the shoulder straps to fit.

Complete final checks on the cot straps tightening the restraint to the stretcher.

The patient is now comfortably and securely attached to the cot with full clinical access available.
